Forest Feastival In a woodland, near a castle, by the Sea
We’re pitching up in a beautiful woodland at Merthyr Mawr Estate for five weekends in Spring creating an alfresco dining experience like no other.
An immersive street food festival featuring the best street food trucks and chefs from Wales and beyond cooking up a global feast.
Enjoy the flora and fauna of the Glamorgan heritage coastline and walk the “Big Dipper”- Wales’ biggest sand dune while working up an appetite to come and feast with us.
At the Forest Feastival expect more than delicious food. Circus acts, kids circus school, great music, marshmallow fire pits and loads of space to just hang out in the wild.
Gather together your friends, family and extended tribe (you can even bring the dog) and make it a big day (or night out)
After Dark
As the sun sets on Forest Feastival the woodland comes alive on Friday and Saturday nights with
Communal Campfires, Guest DJs and a 9pm Band or Cabaret performance with an adult festival vibe.
Merthyr Mawr
Set on the South Wales coast, Merthyr Mawr Warren National Nature Reserve is a magical place and home to the highest dune in Wales, Known as the “Big Dipper”.
The dune system here is like no other in Wales, partly due to the huge area it covers - it extends to 840 acres (the size of 340 international rugby pitches!)
Merthyr Mawr is a haven for wildlife - sand has settled on top of the ancient limestone cliffs creating a special habitat for insects, fungi and plants.
There are also grasslands, saltmarsh, beach and woods within the reserve.
Flints from the Stone Age, burial mounds and pottery from the Bronze Age, hearths from the Iron Age, and Roman tiles have all been discovered here.
